The pros of bamboo and stainless steel straws, and how to keep them clean.
Stainless steel straws
Steel straws are very tough, dishwasher-safe and great for cold drinks and smoothies. They last for many years.
Bamboo straws
Bamboo straws are light, natural and feel gentle on the teeth. At the end of their life they can be composted.
Keeping them clean
Rinse straws straight after use, and give them a scrub with a straw cleaning brush now and then. Let them dry fully before putting them away.
